Porsche and Polo

The Porsche and Polo Concours was held at the Houston Polo Club on April 24th, 2005. It was one of the best attended Concours events held to date.

Could it have been the venue - the fabulous weather - the participation awards (see left) - the organizing talents of the Concours Committee and its Chairwoman, Silvia "Shiney" Samuels - or could all of these fortuitous factors come together to produce this memorable event?

Regardless, . . .

. . . the winners were:

You may have notices a professional photographer at the Polo Club. It was Scott Corron, a freelance photojournalist. He has taken some professional photos of the cars and people at the event. Click on a small image for a larger, but still low resolution image. These photos and many more (yes, of your car, too) can be ordered from Scott. Contact him at scorron@blkbox.com or (281) 827 3384 for more information.

* Divit stomping has a long and honorable history as a traditional halftime activity at polo matches. It is usually conducted with a glass (Reidel) of an adult beverage (Crystal) in one hand.
